* Exciting news: Cordelia was awarded Gold Medal Jumper Foal at her Hanoverian inspection!

We could watch this filly all day; Cordelia is pure athleticism and vivacity. Never have we had a foal that revels in their own power and agility as much as this foal does, she fully subscribes to the "dance like no one is watching" motto. She will stand out in any crowd and not just because of her flashy markings.

She was bred with our eye to both the jumper and eventing disciplines so careful attention was made to select bloodlines known to produce both talent over fences and exceptional gaits. We could not be happier with the result; Cordelia already shows three quality gaits, with ample suppleness, balance, and adjustability. Her canter shows incredible scope  (as if she knows she was meant to airborne).

We would love to see her go to a home that would make use of her innate talent for jumping, but she also shows dressage potential. She was bred for the top level of sport and will excel in the hands of an ambitious amateur with experience developing a young prospect. She will also be a gem of a broodmare someday boasting a stacked pedigree of some of the best jumping sires in the world.

Heritage

Cordelia's sire is the extremely well bred young Celle State Stud stallion, Coumario. Coumario convinced at his licensing in Vechta in 2016 with power, jumping ability, technique, and finest interior. Celebrated as Reserve Champion in jumping, hopes are high for the future of this charming grey. Coumario shows capability, technique and bascule never goes out of fashion! His pedigree is full of extraordinary global jumping sires. On his paternal side he possesses the blood of Calido I, which is still considered a flagship for the Holstein jumping horse breeding. His sire Coupie pairs this valuable Calido I blood with that of Cornet Obolensky, a sire who dominates breeding and sport with his extremely successful progeny like no other. On his maternal side there is C-Indoctro, who has descendants worldwide at competing at the international level. Other notable sires in his pedigree include Landadel, Grannus, Clinton, Heartbreaker, Nimmerdor, and many others!

Cordelia's dam, Belle de Jour, is a sensitive but sensible mare, with a very willing and loving nature. Belle is a very beautiful modern mare who has three quality elastic gaits, and correct conformation. She is a product of the well respected Marefield Meadows breeding program and boasts an unbroken pure Hanoverian damline that goes back over 200 years!

Balou Du Rouet was a favorite at all his appearances. His gaits are equipped with maximum elasticity and completing an excellent Stallion Performance Test, he was awarded top marks for jumping, 9.5 and 10.0. Balou du Rouet is not only by far the most successful son of his famous sire, the Olympic champion and three-time World Cup winner Baloubet du Rouet, but also appears over and over again among the top 20 of the world’s best jumper sires according to the WBFSH ranking. He is also made the list of top 20 best eventing sires in the world several times.

Arrian was an Elite Hanoverian Stallion born in 1992. He is by Al Capone who is a highly regarded Celle stallion and member of the Celle Stallion Quadrille. His sire, Argentan was known for producing dressage and show jumping. Arrian received his first public notice in Der Hannoveraner which stated that he "captivated his audience with his outstanding trot" at his 1994 Koerung in Verden, Germany.  In 1996, the inspectors commented: "It is hard to imagine a better first foal crop for any young stallion." Subsequent foal crops have also included many top foals of inspection sites and breed show success.  Arrian's offspring also proved themselves under saddle, particularly his daughters who, by their MPT results and inspections scores, have put Arrian among the AHS's leading stallions for producing Elite Mares and Elite Mare Candidates.
