ACCOMPLISHMENTS

Glorioso is a beautiful black stallion with suspended gaits and excellent conformation that makes him equally talented for dressage and jumping. He completed his 100-day stallion testing in Germany and finished in 11th place out of 40 stallions, placing equally well in both dressage and jumping. Among the highlights of his scores were an 8.0 on character, temperament and willingness to work, and constitution. He received an 8.0 on jumping ability and an 8.0 on his trot. Glorioso competed in the young horse dressage classes as well as in the hunters and jumpers with a junior rider.

COMPETITIVE HIGHLIGHTS
He was the 2007 AHS Regular Working Hunter Champion. Shown in the FEI 5-Year-Old Young Horse Dressage classes. Awarded top ribbons in the rated hunter and jumper divisions at AA shows.

HERITAGE

Bred by Heinrich Gerrit in Wilhelmshaven, Germany, Glorioso Noir has an impeccable pedigree and is a testament to the famous G-line Hanoverian. His sire Glorieux won the Bundeschampionate and was the winner of his stallion licensing and reserve champion of the performance testing. Glorieux is by the immortal Goldstern. Glorioso’s damsire is the legendary Grundstein. His dam, Grosse Liebe, is the mother of three other licensed sons. Her dam, Luna, is the mother of popular Landkoenig. Glorioso has a wonderfully consolidated pedigree being linebred to Goldfisch II four times; twice through Gotthard daughters, and once through Gotthard's fantastic son, Goldstern. A fourth line to Goldfisch is through the phenomenal stallion, Grande, who produced numerous Olympic offspring in both dressage and jumping. Glorioso Noir's pedigree also brings in the valuable blood of French Anglo stallion, Pancho II (sire of Matcho AA).

From the Hanoverian Verband website:

"No other stallion line is that much associated with performance than the one of the Goldammer II/Flugfeuer II-son Goldfisch II. Through his progeny Grande and Gotthard, he has added properties such as work ethic, power, toughness and expression to this stallion line. Wherever our horses have to perform at the highest level, wherever it is getting tough, this bloodline can be found in the pedigree. G-blood is a necessity.

The blood stands for properties such as energy, willingness to perform and – above all – for the physical capacity and stability to accomplish extraordinary performances. It would be desirable to start re-establishing these properties even more in our breed by using G-bloodlines. This was the intention of the Hannoveraner Verband when it launched its G-initiative in 2007, targeting on increasing breeder’s attention on performance properties and thus boosting breeding rates of stallions from this bloodline...

The Hanoverian sport horse breed is inseparably linked with the G-bloodline. And this will not change in the future."

Glorieux

Glorioso Noir's sire, Glorieux, was 1st in his performance testing 1989 at Adelheidsdorf, scoring 139.03 in dressage and 114.98 in jumping. A beautiful black stallion, Glorieux has produced many elite auction horses and show winners. At the stallion performance test Glorieux caused quite a stir because of his outstanding results in nearly every aspect, scoring 9 or better 8 times. His show career was also successful winning the Oldenburg Championship in Rastede in 1988, the german riding horse Championship in 1988 and went to stud unbeaten in conformation classes in 1989.

Grosse Liebe

Glorioso Noir's dam, Grosse Liebe, is the
mother of three other licensed sons, and her dam Luna also was an impressive producer whose offspring include the popular stallion
Landkoenig. It would be hard to find a dam
line that has a stronger production record!
This damline has produced seven licensed stallions. These sons include Glorioso Noir's
full brother Grundsteins Erbe, who sold to
Italy for DM 450,000 as a jumper. Others are Groenland, a breed show champion at Devon; Gratulata, a World Cup Qualifier with Michael Matz; Gina, a breeding champion of
Luxemburg; her daughter winner of the Zangersheide breeding championships;
Genua and Gentleman, Bundeschampionat participants. A Drosselklang filly and a stallion producing Grundstein filly from Luna sold to Paul Schockemöhle. Two offspring sold in the Vechta auction for over DM 100,000.
