Gone But Not Forgotten
TuckerBreed: Quarter Horse
Height: 15.1hh Date of Birth: 1998 Owned by: Star Gazer Farm Leased/Loved by: Nina Graebig for 2015-2017 Tucker was the perfect horse for a beginner or intermediate rider. He spent most of his life as a western pleasure horse, but after coming to live at Star Gazer Farm in 2011 he spent his time being ridden english and hacking. He was a very calm gentle soul who likes the life in the slow lane. He had all the "buttons" so he was great at trail obstacles, showmanship, pleasure, and equitation. He was very well behaved at shows, even at the busiest of venues. He was also the a most comfortable horse to ride bareback! |

MouseRegistered Name: Mananas Commander
Breed: Quarter Horse Height: 15.1hh Date of Birth: June 30, 1983 Deceased: October 1, 2007 Sire: Mito Commander Dam: Manana's Miss Flit Breeder: Milton Benedict, Nova Scotia Owned by: Star Gazer Farm Mouse was Jackie's first horse. She had been saving for a horse since she was a toddler and at the age of 13 she purchased him as a six year old unbroken ex stud (every instructors worst nightmare!). Thankfully he turned out to be a great natured horse and Jackie proved to be adequately stubborn enough to keep riding him despite almost daily falls. At their first exhibition that first year they managed to only run over the judge once. :-) Eventually they came together as a team and enjoyed many years of adventures. Mouse's favourite thing was swimming at the beach and in the summer that was usually a daily activity as they lived on the shore in Western Head, Nova Scotia. Jackie would spend entire days with Mouse, often lying on him while she read novels or daydreamed. When Jackie entered college she was forced to sell Mouse and he fell on some hard times, which is the main reason we are now so careful about who we will sell our horses to. Thankfully in 2005 we were able to get Mouse back and he lived out his last few years in comfort at our farm. He loved raising babies, we are convinced he thought they were all his. He was one in a million and is still missed. |
