Donatelli is by the legendary breeding stallion Donnerhall. Donatelli's damsire is the stallion Pik Bube I, also known as a stallion producing dressage horses. In the third and fourth generation we find the valuable bloodlines of Graphit and Daimyo. Dam Granny's Girl is a full sister to the Oldenburg approved stallion Placido. Donatelli's motherline starts with the mare Fusion (v. Frustra II). This line produced also many approved stallions, as well as the Olympic horse Prestige with Franke Sloothaak.
Donatelli had an outstanding 100 day Performance Test at Neustadt-Dosse in 1997. He was "Leistungsklasse I" with a total-score of 121,26 points. For the dressage elements he obtained high marks for walk: 9, trot: 9, canter: 9 and for his character he got a 10! Although Donatelli has a pedigree for dressage, he also showed jumping talent with scores of 7 and 8 for these elements. Donatelli had an extremely good sire's debut, due to his oldest offspring. Donatelli was awarded the 1c Main Premium Award from the Oldenburg Association, given for outstanding performance results, high quality of first foals and brilliance of type and movement His son Dynamico became premium stallion at the Oldenburg stallionshow, his daughter Djerba was sold very expensively in the Oldenburg Auction and Donatorio won the "Materialprufung". In 2001 his very beautiful son Divertimento was approved. Donatelli himself won 5 times in the S-class in Germany and was fifth in his first Prix St.Georges competition. In North America Donatelli continued to excel in the dressage arena receiving outstanding scores up to 72% at Grand Prix.

Damsire: Laroche

Owned by the presitigous VDL Stud early in career, this KWPN approved stallion finished 4th in the jumping portion of his Stallion Test. Laroche was described at his testing as an ‘honest stallion with a big, powerful, well-carried canter… Laroche has more than enough talent for jumping and gives his rider a good feeling.’ Laroche next won the KWPN Stallion Jumping Competition at Den Bosch, Holland. With Angelique Hoorn, Laroche had a successful international Grand Prix career in Europe before being purchased for Frankie Chesler in Canada. With a long career throughout Europe and North America, Laroche’s accomplishments follow those of his successful ancestors.
He has proven that his talent and heart transmit to the next generation. Six Ster mares, two Keur mares, and one licensed stallion were just the beginning successes of these early foal crops. Laroche's jumping index has been as high as 149 and a number of his offspring are successful Grand Prix competitors.
His sire Olympic Concorde competed internationally under Jos Lansink for many years with excellent results. He was selected as the KWPN Horse of the Year in 2004 and was the youngest stallion to ever be awarded the Preferent title.
Laroche’s dam is the Keur Preferent Prestatie mare Bernadette, by the legendary Nimmerdor. He too was an international showjumper of great quality. He sired 18 approved sons, including Ahorn, Goodtimes, and Heartbreaker. In 2000 Nimmerdor was elected “the stallion of the 20th century” in the Netherlands. Of unique interest in Laroche’s pedigree is the Trakehnher stallion Marco Polo whose influence is felt in both his sire and dam. The jumping ability and good character which he passed was apparent. Polo Boy, Vivaldi, Pybalia, and Marius (sire of Milton) were all international showjumping stars of the early 1980’s that descend from Marco Polo. Laroche's damline extends back to the famed Sina line that has also produced MacKinley, Cavalier, and Modesto.
