Star Gazer Farm

Graceling

"And indeed, a horse who bears himself proudly is a thing of such beauty and
astonishment that he attracts the eyes of all beholders. No one will tire of looking at
him as long as he will display himself in his splendour."
~ Xenophon

This colt is the darling of the farm this year; he is just loaded with charisma! He is also the easiest foal we have ever worked with as he is super smart, bold, and nonchalant about life - his life philosophy is play, explore, snuggle, nap, repeat. He is also impressively athletic. Very light on his feet and yet powerful at the same time. His canter is jaw dropping impressive (i.e. over the back, through the body, rhythmic, and balanced), and he shows a good walk and trot as well. Combining gaits, athleticism, and good looks this colt really could go in any direction.

Heritage

SIRE: Glorioso Noir had suspended gaits and excellent conformation that made him equally talented for dressage and jumping. He completed his 100-day stallion testing in Germany and finished in 11th place out of 40 stallions, placing equally well in both dressage and jumping. Among the highlights of his scores were an 8.0 on character, temperament and willingness to work, and constitution. He received an 8.0 on jumping ability and an 8.0 on his trot. Glorioso competed in the young horse dressage classes as well as in the hunters and jumpers with a junior rider. He was the 2007 AHS Regular Working Hunter Champion. Shown in the FEI 5-Year-Old Young Horse Dressage classes. Awarded top ribbons in the rated hunter and jumper divisions at AA shows.

GRANDSIRE: Glorieux was 1st in his performance testing 1989 at Adelheidsdorf, scoring 139.03 in dressage and 114.98 in jumping. Glorieux has produced many elite auction horses and show winners. At the stallion performance test Glorieux caused quite a stir because of his outstanding results in nearly every aspect, scoring 9 or better 8 times. His show career was also successful winning the Oldenburg Championship in Rastede in 1988, the german riding horse Championship in 1988 and went to stud unbeaten in conformation classes in 1989.

DAMSIRE: Balou du Rouet produces top horses for international competitions one after another! He
is not only by far the most successful son of his famous sire, the Olympic champion and three-time World Cup winner Baloubet du Rouet, but also appears repeatedly on top 20 of the world's best jumper sires according to the WBFSH ranking. He is also one of the 20 best eventing sires in the world. Balou Du Rouet is a favorite at all his appearances. His gaits are equipped with maximum elasticity and completing an excellent Stallion Performance Test, he was awarded top marks for jumping, 9.5 and 10.0 by the ‘foreign judges’.

THE G-LINE: From the Hanoverian Verband website:

"No other stallion line is that much associated with performance than the one of the Goldammer II/Flugfeuer II-son Goldfisch II. Through his progeny Grande and Gotthard, he has added properties such as work ethic, power, toughness and expression to this stallion line. Wherever our horses have to perform at the highest level, wherever it is getting tough, this bloodline can be found in the pedigree. G-blood is a necessity.

The blood stands for properties such as energy, willingness to perform and – above all – for the physical capacity and stability to accomplish extraordinary performances. It would be desirable to start re-establishing these properties even more in our breed by using G-bloodlines. This was the intention of the Hannoveraner Verband when it launched its G-initiative in 2007, targeting on increasing breeder’s attention on performance properties and thus boosting breeding rates of stallions from this bloodline...

The Hanoverian sport horse breed is inseparably linked with the G-bloodline. And this will not change in the future."
