Czaftig arrived at Star Gazer Farm in August 2014. Jackie has always been a fan of Contucci so was excited to see what beautiful and talented foals this mare will produce, and she did not disappoint; Her first foal, Bellamy, was the reserve champion foal out of 12 foals at the 2016 Hanoverian inspection.
She is a large framed mare with a strong broad loin and back. She is a very sweet horse who is easy to work with. Czaftig and her full sister were both ridden as fox hunters by her previous owner. Her dam, EM Werra, was by World Cup IV out of a Matcho AA mare. She was an elite mare which is the Canadian equivalent to an SPS mare in Germany. She had 12 foals, many of whom have gone on to be successful hunters and dressage horses. |
