Heritage
Versteeg's dam, Galaxie Noire, is one of the last daughters of Glorioso Noir, this mare is impeccably well bred on both the top and bottom of her pedigree which brings valuable G-line blood close up through her sire Glorioso Noir whose pedigree goes back to Goldfisch II seven times, and includes famous ancestors such as Grosse Liebe, Grundstein I, Goldstern, Gotthard, Grande, and Graphit. Her dam also brings in notable bloodlines such as Rubinstein I, Wenzel I, Ramiro Z, Bolero, and Argentinus. Alax's dam is product of the well respected Marefield Meadows breeding program.
Nicknamed "the perfect child", Alax has yet to this day to put a foot wrong and is always willing and trusting, as well as sweet as can be. She is a strikingly gorgeous mare with a strong loin and hip, long legs with good bone, and beautiful topline. Her movement is uphill and powerful, with a good amount of suspension in the trot.
Versteeg's sire, Vilancio, is a striking, first class stallion in an impressive dark chocolate chestnut coat. Always supple with an irresistible "look at me" factor. Vilancio is 16.3hh and possesses maximum balance in all three gaits, an attribute that he demonstrates under saddle. Vilancio completed his 30-day-test with the key aspect on dressage with a total score of 9.23 (interior 9.63, trot 9, canter 8.75, walk 10, conformation 10 and rideability 9.25). His breeding history is mostly in Sweden (Flyinge Stud), neverless he has 3 licensed sons: Vilanciano, Veuve Cliquot HS, and Verlaine.
His sire, Vitalis, has 33 licensed sons, Vilancio's dam sire Lancet participated in two Olympic games, 2004 in Athens he finished 11th individual with Imke Schellekens-Bartels, 2008 in Hong Kong he finished 6th individually with Emma Hindle and second with the British team, 2009 he earned Team-Silver again at the European championships in Windsor. Vitalis's sire, Vivaldi, has consistently been in the WBFSH top 10 ranking over the past few years and is recognized globally as an outstanding producer of sport horses and stallions.
