Registered Name: Vixen
Registered/Branded: Westfalen Date of Birth: May 18, 2023 Sex: Filly Sire: Vidar (Viscount/Edward/Contendro/Espri) - 17hh Hanoverian Dam: Bottoms Up (Marcavelly/Whiskey Wisdom/Mogambo) - 16.1hh Thoroughbred Breeder: Star Gazer Farm Colour: Chestnut with blaze & two hind stockings Height: Expected to mature 16.1hh Suitability: Dressage, Eventing, Hunter, or Jumper. Although our aim for this cross was to produce an eventing prospect we are blown away by this filly's dressage potential. Her canter is effortlessly uphill and balanced, and her natural rhythm is impressive, and lead changes and pirouettes are effortless for her. She loves to move and her favourite past time is dancing around her pasture. She is everything we hoped for in this cross and more.
Based on her parents, her temperament and rideability should be top notch. She is an extremely clever filly who is both careful and bold/brave at the same time; so sensible, easy, and willing but not at all dull. We are head over heels for this girl! Although her sire is 17hh, she is a petite filly so we expect her to finish closer to her dam's height of 16.1hh. We believe she is the first offspring of Vidar born in North America and we are so happy with her that we are sure to return to him again. |

She is also very unflappable as there is not much that seems to phase her. She received a Premium award at her Westfalen mare inspection with very good comments from the judges.
