Oh October, how I love thee!

Anyone who knows me knows that October is my favourite month of the year! No flies, cool temperatures, and, best of all, the colours! We FINALLY got all of our new fencing painted and we think it looks smashing! I found an old "to do" list from early September that said "Saturday paint fence first coat, Sunday paint fence second coat".... hahahaha! I was so naive; it took 4 days to paint just the first coat and there will be no second coat. ;-)

After a month of research we now have all information regarding breeding outside mares to our Hanoverian stallion, Glorioso Noir, as well as a sample of his breeding contract available on his page > Glorioso Noir. His stud fee for 2018 will be $1500 CND (~$1200 USD). To celebrate his first season with us we are offering a $500 discount to the first 5 bookings paid in full. The other discounts we will be offering are:

Maritime Bred: $150 discount available to any mare standing in one of the Maritime provinces (PEI, NS, or NB) at the time of breeding, thus making the foal eligible for the Maritime Bred Classes.
Multiple Mare: $150/mare available for anyone booking more than one mare.

A couple weeks ago we welcomed a new face to our family... meet Arthur! :-) We felt that Glori could use a companion and this adorable pony was the solution. So far they are getting along famously... we are pretty sure Arthur is the boss (of everyone!). I have gotten it into my head that I want to train him for harness but that would likely require me having some free time. Regardless I am sure the 4-H kids will find a some sort of job for him other than being so incredibly cute.

Our youngsters are all developing very well. I am looking forward to spending some time over the next three weeks working with all of them before winter arrives. I have a few recent photos of each below and you can visit their pages by clicking on their photos. Happy October everyone!
